Chef Sharon Van Meter, WMCS

A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, Paris, France, Chef Sharon Van Meter brings over thirty years of culinary experiences to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Chef Van Meter has served the culinary world as Executive Chef at the Ritz Carlton, Chicago and International, Professor of American Cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu, Paris, France, Neiman Marcus, Dallas Texas and recently was Director of New Projects Development for FOOD Network TV. Chef Van Meter currently serves Executive Director of the Milestone Culinary Arts Center.

Recently, Sharon has joined radio station KLIF as co-host of "TASTE OF" with Dan Potter and Chef Sharon Van Meter which airs weekly from 2-3 pm on Sunday.

Chef Van Meter has been inducted in the honorable culinary societies of World Master Chefs Society, Les Dames d'Escoffier and Euro-Toques International.

Her humanitarian efforts range from the fight on hunger with Share Our Strength's "Taste of the Nation" to the National Aids Foundation "Touring Chefs" to Habitat for Humanity "House Party".

In 1994, Euro Toques International named her "Chef of the Year" and she received the National Restaurant Association "Lifetime Achievement Award" in 1997.
